is true that covid-19 brought so many questions to people all around the world,
questions like, how did it start? Where did it start? And what is the cause of it? I mean this a deadly disease with no cure. With so many
questions that left unanswered it made people to come up with their on answers
which are conspiracy theory and misinformation and remember once it makes sense to many people,
they start taking it as a fact yet it is not.
Covid-19 was first discovered in China and it was were it started, and it continued to spread around the world. We all know that China is one of the countries that is overpopulated in the world and since this is the case the was and still a conspiracy theory that covid-19 was created to decrease the population in China, meaning it was created to kill, and kill white people also that's what the street say, which is not a fact but opinions of people. Many people across South Africa believe that covid-19 is not real and since they are black it won't kill them, it is disease for the white people. This conspiracy shows that people are discriminating, and since they don't believe that it is real it is putting their lives in danger and people around them
Conspiracy theories damage people's mind, changes their mindset. Thousands of doctors putted their lives in danger to save people's lives, thousands of scientists did research about covid-19 and the World Organization Health contributed to make sure that people know everything about covid-19 as soon as possible to save lives, but there are hundreds of people saying that covid-19 is not real and it is a white disease. How can covid-19 being unreal when hundreds of people keep on dying everyday. Those people that say covid-19 is not real those are the people that are putting our mothers, grandparents and uncles in danger because they do not follow covid-19 restrictions, I mean how can you follow rules on things you do not believe that they exist?
We need to ask ourselves that why do these conspiracy theories exist though, what is the cause of them so we can get rid of them, these conspiracy theories exist because of misinformation that people receive and from unreliable source like whatsApp, Twitter, friends and family members when speaking what is on their minds because they believe it makes sense.
We need to stop the issue of conspiracy theory, pamphlet should be made and be distributed,written in different languages so they can understand and get rid of the misinformation. Play a part.
Anyone can get covid-19, it doesn't matter which race you are and it is real and can kill. Look deeper than this to survive in this pandemic.
With theories like this, it doesn't not only promote discrimination but can also lead to a war between African and Western countries as some people believe that the Chinese are the virus carriers and they believe that because the former president of America, Donald Trump once told a Chinese journalist that she is a virus carrier. It doesn't matter how small false information can be as it could bring more harm, hate, and danger anyone could think of. People need to understand that because you are black doesn't mean you are a mule to the virus as we have lost thousands of black people and status and money and any other thing won't prevent you from the virus so people must take all the necessary precautions to prevent the spread and also verify their sources before sharing any information and bear in mind that just because it's trending on social media it does not make it a fact.

DeleteIt's very true what you said on your blog that conspiracy theory tampers with people's mindsets in a way that they end up not knowing what to believe and believe what so ever they come across on social media .We really need to indeed look deeper to the fact that it is definitely not your race that makes you a victim or not but anyone can be infected with the virus.
